Past results of F1 Mexican Grand Prix

The F1 Mexican GP has always been an interesting and competitive race for teams and drivers alike. The high-altitude settings paired with low-downforce setups give the viewers a glimpse of the amazing speed of today’s F1 cars. The lap record for this 4-kilometer circuit, however, belongs to Valterri Bottas. The Finnish driver set a lap time of 1:17:774 with his Mercedes W12 in 2021.

What are the current standings for championship battle?

The driver and constructor championships were already decided races ago and Red Bull has dominated through them. Red Bull won the constructor’s title a sixth time and Max Verstappen finessed his way through the field, claiming his third driver’s title in a row in a particularly spectacular fashion.

The spot for second in the constructor’s championship is a highly contested one, with Ferrari and Mercedes fighting tooth and nail for the position. The 2nd spot in the driver’s standings however, is even hotter and immensely contested between Sergio Perez, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso. The three drivers have a car that can fight at the front for podiums and it is going to be an interesting watch as to who will get the last laugh at the end of the season.

Predictions for Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez

Max Verstappen has a difficulty struck race in US GP owing to brake issues and he would expect his team to fix them and give him a better performing car. Even though, Max has already won the championship he doesn’t want to slack off and keeps demanding the best from the team while performing perfectly.

Lewis Hamilton, on the other hand would want to overthrow Sergio Perez and get the crucial second place so that his team can develop on the recent developments and hope for better results or maybe even a championship battle in 2024. The most important race however, is going to be Sergio Perez’s, the Mexican will be comfortable in his home crowd but he needs to secure the 2nd position in drivers championship or else his Red Bull seat maybe in danger.
